Exedy Twin Plate HD Cermatellic Clutch For Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7-9 and MR  The EXEDY Street / Race Twin Plate Clutch is designed for high torque capacity with "reasonable" steetability. The friction facing material is cerametallic to bundle the abuse of highly modified engines. Again, with all cerametallic clutch systems, some chatter should be expected on low rpm startups. Featuring a single spring damper for both discs, this clutch design has strap lift and drive for both the pressure plate and the intermediate plate. A patented system evenly lifts both the main pressure plate and the intermediate plate providing a "clean" release for steetability. The EXEDY Street / Race Twin Plate Clutch also includes a lightweight billet chrome moly steel flywheel for maximum performance.Exedy offers 2 versions of this clutch. One is the SD version the other is the HD version. The only difference is the pressure plate, the HD offers 715lbs more clamping load than the SD. there is not a noticeable difference in pedal pressure between the two. For those making frequent drag launches we suggest the HD Pressure plate only. GSC Recommends the HD Clutch for those with power up to 550whp and the SD Clutch for those with power up to 450whp
